Massage therapy to aid recovery

Massage Therapy

Massage can be alongside your chiropractic treatment to either help recovery or as a long-term management option.

We use massage as a way to promote a healthy environment in which our patients can recover.

Pain is very multifactorial in nature and as such, a variety of treatments can often be superior. Using massage alongside your chiropractic treatment also allows for adequate time to be focused on all aspects of your problems.

Many patients who are highly active report finding massages helpful in managing general aches and pains.

If your chiropractor feels that massage therapy will be helpful as part of your plan of management then they will advise you accordingly.

It is also possible to book a one-off massage therapy session. If you wish to do this then please contact our reception.

Our Treatments

Medical Acupuncture/Dry Needling reduces pain and inflammation by inserting needles into muscle trigger points, often enhanced with physical rehabilitation.

If your chiropractor deems it necessary, they may refer you to your GP or for scans like ultrasounds or MRIs, either before or alongside your treatment plan. This helps tailor your care effectively to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment.

Spinal manipulative therapy applies quick force to joints, not to realign, but to desensitise areas for improved movement and reduced pain. It’s most effective when combined with personalised physical rehabilitation.

Exercise Therapy encompasses various physical rehabilitation forms, from general advice to specific programs, effectively treating musculoskeletal pain, tailored to patients’ abilities and goals for progression.
