Enhancing movement to reduce pain

Joint manipulation

Spinal manipulative therapy or spinal manipulation is a manual therapy technique where we apply a quick force to the joints to help reduce symptoms and increase range of motion

We often get asked by our patients if this technique is realigning the joints or popping things back into place. This isn’t the case, but what we are doing is helping to de-sensitise an area or joint, so that you can move with more freedom and less pain.

Spinal manipulation is much more effective when used alongside physical rehabilitation. The rehab that your chiropractor chooses for you will be based on your presentation and your overall goal for recovery.

This means that we only give exercises that are explicitly necessary for your personal recovery.

Our Treatments

Medical Acupuncture/Dry Needling reduces pain and inflammation by inserting needles into muscle trigger points, often enhanced with physical rehabilitation.

Lifestyle factors like exercise, stress, obesity, and work significantly impact back pain likelihood. We provide personalised, holistic care to manage and reduce pain effectively.

If your chiropractor deems it necessary, they may refer you to your GP or for scans like ultrasounds or MRIs, either before or alongside your treatment plan. This helps tailor your care effectively to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment.

Massage therapy can be used alongside your chiropractic treatment to help with recovery or as part of a long-term management option. It provides a holistic approach, especially beneficial for active individuals and tailored to individual needs.
